Future Clinics:

Building Turnouts in Place

Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2009; 7:30 PM (Canceled)
Presenter: John Rogers
Location: Bridge Club (next door to our store).
Cost: TBA
Check back for details.

John Rogers will direct us in the art of built-in-place turnouts. We will have a hands-on clinic where we will all build our own switch of a scale and configuration of our choice. This will be a value added clinic and as such there will have a charge to attend. We will provide all needed materials and you will only need to bring your favorite tools. This should be a great opportunity for those of us who want to try hand-laying track to test the water.

We will set the fee and have complete details soon. But if you wish, call or email to hold your chair. We expect to limit the class to ten.

Most clinics begin at 7:30, will break at mid point for coffee and doughnuts and continue with the final part of the clinic at which time questions will be taken. There is no charge for most clinics, the exception being when you are provided tools and/or materials to create a take-home project. Please try to be prompt.

A great time was had by all during our Building Craftsman Structures clinic on May 20 at the Bridge Club next door to the store. Karl Sholtz and Rich Newmiller inspired a room full of enthusiasts on building and enhancing craftsman structures. Attendees went home with a more-or-less finished kit and all seemed proud of the result.

The models made by Karl and Rich for the clinic— same model, two very different results.

Handouts continue to be popular at our clinics. For those of you who could not attend, or just missed the handout presented, we offer a comprehensive listing below.
